Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American producer, actress and director. Her most well-known work is her leading role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. In the final season of the show, Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended on August 13th in 2012. Sedgwick is also remembered for her role in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) as well as Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), a speech teacher and educational/family therapy therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian as well as of English origin. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has said she participates in Passover seders.
