Lara Logan

Lara Logan, born 29/03/71, is a South African television journalist and war reporter. She was a reporter for CBS News between 2002 and 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager called her factually inaccurate and politically slanted report about the 2012 Benghazi attack "the most regrettable mistake of my 10 years of watching." In the year 2019, she joined the Sinclair Broadcast Group, a conservative media company. The company was acquired by Fox Nation, a subscription streaming platform run by Fox News, in January 2020. She told Fox News in March 2022 that they had been "dumped". Logan worked as a news reporter for the Sunday Tribune in Durban during her studies (1988-1989), then for the city's Daily News (1990-1992). In 1992 she joined Reuters Television Africa as a senior producer. After four years, she moved into freelance journalism and landed reports as a reporter and editor/producer at ITN as well as Fox/SKY, CBS News, ABC News (in London), NBC, and the European Broadcasting Union. CNN was her home, where she reported on events such as 1998's United States embassy bombings, in Nairobi and Tanzania. Additionally, she covered the ongoing conflict between Northern Ireland and Kosovo.
